UBER INVESTIGATORS ADMIT THAT THERE WAS A PERJURY DURING THE PROBE

July 2016: Ergo is a business intelligence and advisory firm which is run by the ex-officials from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the National Security Council. The CIA linked Investigator Firm which the Uber hired to investigate the plaintiff in one of their lawsuits, has admitted to lying and illegally recording phone calls during its probe. The concerned lawsuit was filed by Mr. Spencer Meyer against UBER CEO Mr. Travis Kalanick alleging a scheme to fix prices in violation to antitrust laws. Ergo was hired by Uber to investigate the plaintiff but they also investigated the lawyer of the plaintiff. Ergo’s lawyer argued that the firm was unaware that the investigation was tied to a lawsuit but admitted the fact that the investigator “dissembled and used false pretenses in his duties”.
Meyer’s lawyers have demanded compensation for the costs of uncovering the investigation, while Uber’s lawyers are looking forward to a settlement through arbitration. A decision is expected to come in some weeks.
