i have purchased a under construction property(A) in june 2009. Now i have purchased a property(B) in may 2013 under 20:80 scheme. The possession of the property B in December 2016, whereas the property A is ready. Now i want to sell off the property A to pay the 80% of B which is due in december 2016. Am i taxable for the sale of property A. if yes is there a way to avoid taxes.

His wife has not changed her surname after their marriage. However, recently, with elections in the offing, there are certain officers and representatives of the election commission who, while carrying out a routine inspection, came to their house and insisted that his wife change her surname if she is to retain her voting right. The local authorities at the ration office have also insisted on the same. He was wondering whether such a change is mandatory after marriage and if so, then how should one go about it officially? Also, will she still retain the benefits of her reservation after that?

In mid 1970s, my grandfather rented the back portion of our house to a person, who covered the place with aluminium sheets and made it into a shed only to use it for storage purposes for their coal business. For years that shed has been left unused, with no electricity utilized their except a low watt bulb, and only rarely has it been opened to move or store some coal, now and then. The person to whom it was rented passed away some time back and last month his son decided to empty the shed, make it sturdier by building brick walls and a proper roof. My query is, do they have the right to utilize the place for another business without the permission of the present owners of the property? If their new business venture requires heavy electric supply, are the present owners supposed to provide it to them and that too without any revision in the rent that had been paid by them since the 70s?

Hi, I bought a Samsung Refrigerator from CROMA on 10-9-2010. CROMA had an extended warranty scheme as per which, I had to pay Rs. 1500/- and if I didn't utilize the warranty, Rs. 1500/- would be paid back. After two years, in the stipulated time limit of 30 days, I submitted all the necessary documents to CROMA, Mumbai on 14-9-2012. No money was debited to my account and thus I again wrote a letter to CROMA, Mumbai regarding the same on 14-5-2013. No response has been given by them. Mow, I would want to know what I could do regarding the same? Also, how much would it approximately cost? Would the hassle be worth for Rs. 1500/-?
