Acts of POA holder
Is the author of power of attorney holder responsible for the acts done by the holder when the POA was in existence and before its revocation?
Sir, Power od Attorneys are governed by the Power of Attorney Act 1882. This act clearly mandates that the holder is duty bound to perform all tasks given to him by the donor. The POA as per the provisions of this act can only be held liable if he does any acts not authorized by the donor. Thus to answer your question the donor will not be liable for the POA’s acts as long as they are unauthorized or unreasonable.
