Add wife name in agreement of sale
Hi I have executed a registered banakhat with the seller for a flat worth of 21 LAC on 100rs. stamp paper and got it registered in sub registrar office. I have given token money to the seller and and have agreed to pay remaining amount in 3 months. Now I want to add my wife's name as co-buyer in the banakhat . Advocate to which I have consulted says, to add another party I have to pay 1% registration charges which is 21000. I have doubt here because its "agreement of sale/banakhat" not the actual sale deed. Please suggest.

You must spend money to stregthen your documents. Faith, if you have no faith you cannot go for commercial transactions. If you have no faith go the sub registrar office directly and get a broker and get your work done.
Sir, to include another person’s name on an agreement of sale that is already registered one
must file an amended version of the document including the co-owners name, known as the
Supplementary Sale Agreement, before the sub-registrar. The charges for amending will be
dependent on the amount of share of the additional co-owner.
