Firm has not cleared my dues

My query pertains to labour. I had been working with a Gurgaon-based firm. The firm has not cleared my dues and it seems that they have no intention of doing so. I have in e-mail the conversation where they have agreed to pay my dues. Is there anything that can be done.

You have to be in regular touch with the HR department of the company to understand the reasons behind such delay. It is important you understand if the delay is due to fiscal scarcity or any potential chances of removal of individuals from their jobs.

In case the company does not fulfil its payment related promise, you are advised to file an affidavit at a local labour court with the format available here-http://labour.and.nic.in/comp_claim.htm

However, in case they unfairly remove you from your job position, without any prior notice or payment, you are advised to file a case against your employers under Sections 9, 16 and 25 of the Industrial Disputes Act.
