How to get a copy of documents

Dear Sir I have plot in registreted in my name without the agreement copy, Its with my brother, we are dispute family, He is not giving my the documents not acting on the PLot. What can be done for the same. Or what step to be taken for the same. How can we take the document copy and Kindly suggest for the same.

A certified copy of the registry can be obtained from the office of registrar, where the said document was registered. It would take around a month for you to get the certified copy. However it would be faster and simpler if you told them the registration no. or year of registry.

Also you need to file an FIR, informing the police about the said act of your brother,

If a case is already going in the court over the same property, then you can request the court to order the other party (brother) to give you a certified and notarized copy of the document

    Thank you Sir for your suggestion. FIR should be filed on same town or where the land is registered.

Hi,

In this case you can file a FIR under Section 154 of Criminal procedure code to get possession of the original documents of the property as well

as for the Act of your brother in the case if that is not possible then you can also file application

to registrar for getting the certified copy by mentioning all the details and if the case is before the

court then application may be filed during that case to get the possession of the property.
