jurisdiction for notary

1. Are there any geographical jurisdictions for notarising documents in India ? 2. Can a business deal signed in ,say Bihar , be notarised outside the state, say in Orissa ?

Dear Sir,

 

Publoic Notary has jurisdiction over entire India but you must check his crfedentials because there are some fake. You can get

notarised in any state it is valid.

A notary's jurisdiction is generally their state of commission. A notary is almost never allowed to notarize outside of the state where their commission is based. Some notaries have dual commissions, meaning that they are commissioned in more than one state.
