Hey, i want to buy a property in auction which has some electricity dues not paid by the previous owner. Can you tell me whose liability it is to pay the bill if i buy the property ?

If you buy the property then the liability associted with the property will be transferred to you including the electicity dues. If you want the seller to pay the charges then you will have to negotiate with him to clear the dues before the sale. You must try to negotiate an agreement with the seller where he acknolwedges the dues and agrees to reimburse you after you have paid it.
