From the First month when I joined May 2018, our flat toilet room tap and wash room taps has earth issue, I spoke to my owner and convey this information to him but he was not taking the action on this issue, recently my Maid also had a shock due to earth issue in our flat, I have informed multiple times but he was not take any action and he is saying he will not take the responsibility and demanding to vacate the Flat, but I have given the agreement for 2 years and currently I am unable to move other area since my kids are studying this area and more over If want to move again it will be a more expenses need to bear my side for shifting charges. can you please suggest me how I can take this forward to legal. current status is since a month I have stop the rent and told him to repair the power issue then take a rent very next minute.

Dear Sir,
Since there is no Rent Control Act in existence in Karnataka State it is a civil matter to be decided by Civil Court. Secondly you get issue a Legal Notice and demand the owner to attend the said defect failing which you may approach Civil Court by filing a suit for mandatory injunction.

Send a legal notice to your Landlord, asking him to repair the Default earthing , within Fifteen days from the date of receiving Legal notice, failing which file a complaint before the concerned Municipal Authority for appriate action
