Prevented by inlaws to go for functions

I have been married for 25 years. Whenever I wish to join my parents or any function I have been prevented from doing so. Though I used to go and skip some. This time I wish to go and in-laws say that I am a cook in the house and should not go. If I go stay there only. What should I do? Please advice

It appears now your in advanced age. However you may take divorce from your husband on the ground of cruelty and lead happy life.

Draft effective petitions will be prepared by me on nominal professional fee.

Strange, 25years of marriage and undergoing violence. You need to decide how to tackle such issues without compromising on your rights and jeopardising relationship.
