procedure for CBSE school Affiliation

I need advice on process and documentation procedure for CBSE school Affiliation.

CBSE affiliation is a simple yet lengthy process, including the following steps:

  • Setting up and starting of the school before affiliation.
  • Setting up a Non-Profit Trust or Society.
  • Acquisition of land area for the school to be registered.
  • NOC from state officials; State Board affiliation is mandatory along with CBSE affiliation as education is a state-subject.
  • For affiliation process online registration[1] of your school is the first step to be undertaken.
  • Copies of all the documents along with Bank Draft are to be sent by post to the CBSE Delhi office.
  • In response to these documents a letter of response will be sent by CBSE with details of the officials deputed to inspect the school.
  • You are required to present a file with a long list of documents, to the assigned officer, comprising of society details; constitution of the society and society By-Laws;  Registration Certificate of the society; staff particulars; Infrastructure Details; School Prospectus; Fees structure; etc(details of the required documents are enlisted in the CBSE Official Website).
  • The assigned officer, after satisfactory inspection of your school, would send your file to the Board.
  • You can check online status of your application which is usually updated within forty five to sixty days of submission of the documents and if you receive a positive response from the officials then the affiliation process would be complete.
