Procedure to be followed while contracting with a Builder

Dear Sir, Our house was constructed in 1947, at present are in our share is 370 Square yards, recently we received demolition notice, as our house in very bad shape, we are planning to constructed with the help of builder, what are the procedures to be followed, Kindly guide. Sir, the construction of houses and the norms surrounding it are largely governed by the municipal laws of the concerned state. Thus, you must provide relevant information like the location of the property in question in order to gain more specific information as to the provisions which must be kept in mind with regard to construction of a residential house.

However, post the Bhuj earthquake, the Ministry of Urban Development came up with Model Building Bye Laws, 2016 to be followed while constructing buildings. These bye laws contain detailed information regarding the specific rules that are to be kept in mind while constructing buildings for various purposes.
