Public prosecutor representing private party in civil suit

Whether the pulic prosecutor to the state government can represent a private party in a civil suit before high court? Please answer supported by judgements and citations.

Sir, the Criminal Procedure Code in India, under Section 24 defines a Prosecutor. Apart from laying out the functions and role of the prosecutor that is closely linked with delivering justice, this provision also allows the prosecutor to maintain a private practice and argue cases of civil and criminal jurisdictions. However, it levies only one condition on them which is that prosecutors are restricted to fight any case against the State during their tenure as prosecutor
