I am sure you are talking about the judgment of Tamil Nadu Terminated Full Time Temporary LIC Employees Association vs. LIC of India & Others. The said judgment laid some criteria for regularisation of candidates. Complying with the Judgment LIC India issued a circular dated 21st July 2015. The relevant portion of the circular is cited below which I think will answer your queries.

  • The concerned workmen who were employed by LIC of India between the period from 20.05.1985 to 04.03.1991 and satisfying the conditions as per the above award only are eligible for apply. The workmen, who have been appointed by following the procedure under the Life Insurance Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1960 or any other instructions issued by the Corporation from time to time only will be considered.
  • The temporary Class III employees who have worked for 85 days in any two calendar years with the Corporation between 20th May 1985 and 04.03.1991 and who conformed to the required eligibility criteria for regular appointment on the dates of their initial temporary appointment will be considered.
  • The temporary Class IV employees who have worked for 70 days in any three calendar years with the Corporation between 20th May 1985 and 04.03.1991 and who conformed to the required eligibility criteria for regular appointment on the dates of their initial temporary appointment will be considered.
  • The eligible concerned workmen are requested to submit the Bio data in the specified format along with the self attested copies of the documents to prove their employment such as Appointment letter issued by LIC for engaging as temporary employee and the copy of relieving order issued by LIC as proof of employment for the specified period to the address mentioned below to reach on or before 21.08.2015: LIC of India, Post Box No 11511 Nariman Point Post Office Mumbai Pin 400021.
  • The bio data format is also placed in our website www.licindia.in under careers.
  • The applications without support documents willbe summarily rejected.
  • The applications submitted to any other office of the Corporation will not be considered.
  • Submission of applications only will not grant any right for absorption. Corporation reserves the right to call for any documents for verification at any stage of the process.
  • Self attested copies of the certificates for Educational Qualification, proof for Date of birth, copy of identity proof such as Aadhar card, PAN card, Passport or Bank Passbook with photo and community certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applicable have to be enclosed with duly completed Bio data.
  • If any applicant fails to submit the required documents or submitted any false or forged documents or wrong or untrue statements, the application of the applicant will be rejected and will not be considered further.
  • The criteria mentioned in point no. 4 of the circular will clarify your doubts. However, you are late in filing your application by more than 18 months so in your present application you must you must give the authorities a valid reason for delay or else your application will be rejected.
