Serve notice period or go for buyout

I am currently working in private IT organization and its only 2.5 month as of now. Notice period in company is 3 months if with client and 2 months if on bench. Due to Medical issue of my wife, I requested for medical leave, this happened when I was with client but client requested for my replacement. In offer there is no statement regarding buyout calculation on which salary it will be calculated. They gave me serve the notice period or go for buyout . As per the offer letter, Buyout calculation details are not there in any clause. So, since its pvt org, they can calculate the amount on their own . So I have below option : 1. How company will calculate notice period amount if the calculation details like based on basic or gross salary is not mentioned in offer letter. 2. Since with client I got medical issue and requested for medical leave and client asked for replacement so it should be 3 or 2 months? 3. if the company calculate on gross salary, how can I negotiate or tackle them?
